Evaluation of the Trueness of Digital Implant Impressions According to the Implant Scan Body Orientation and Scanning Method

This study investigated the trueness of a digital implant impression according to orientation scan body (ISB) and scanning method. With flat surface ISB facing either buccal or proximal direction, was scanned using one tabletop scanner (T500) three types intraoral (TRIOS 3, CS3600, i500). The effects differences in method were assessed. Postalignment data subsequently obtained with abutments generated library, superimposed reference best-fit algorithm, followed by root-mean-square error (RMSE) analysis. RMSE lower groups (28.15 ± 8.87 μm, mean SD) than (31.94 8.95 p = 0.031), full-scan (27.92 10.80 μm) partial-scan (32.16 6.35 0.016). When scanner, higher when connected buccally (14.34 0.89 it proximally (29.35 1.15 < 0.001). From findings this can be concluded that operator should connect so its faces attempt all areas.
